About the Designers

Omar Syed was born in Hyderabad, India and moved with his family to the US when he was seven. He is currently a principle architect at Yahoo. In the past he has worked at the NASA Glenn Research Center, the Raytheon Company and 4You Net Services Inc. He obtained his B.S. in Computer Engineering and a M.S. in Electronic Engineering both from Case Western Reserve University. His Masters Thesis focused on Neural Networks and Genetic Algorithms. He is happily married to Ruhina and has four wonderful kids; Aamir, Amina, Sana and Saba. Omar enjoys programming, reading science news, playing Arimaa, Chess, billiards, and swimming. As a bachelor his favorite pastime was hang gliding.

Aamir Syed is a student at Birchwood Elementary School. He enjoys playing video games, building robots with Legos, playing Arimaa, Chess, and swimming. He hopes to be a NASA Engineer someday so he can build robots that explore other planets.
