Summer Meetup in Southeast France anyone?

My suggestion: A weekend of Arimaa playing somewhere between Lyon and Montpellier around mid-July (or later). Many people go to that area during the summer so I thought it would be an opportunity to gather players. What do you think?

Montpellier ftw That's an awesome idea! But I'll be in Chile in July-August unfortunately (well, I'm looking forward to being in Santiago of course )

It's a really nice idea and I wish I could be there but there are hardly more than six or seven regular French players on this site. The chances of more than one, beside yourself, showing up at your gathering are remote at best.

Well, if nobody shows up it'll be held in Lyon with the two Arimaa players of the town then. Organizational logistics will be simplified Thank you for the support anyway. You'll be able to watch the games on the TV. And I already know who'll win the 25,000,000 euro prize...

Montpellier is a cool place too. Plus it breeds champions ^^ The construction of the playing hall for the Lyon meetup is almost finished. Here is a photo of the entrance.

I've lived near Lyon (Villeurbanne) for five years.

@Arimabuff: Lyon and Villeurbanne are pretty much one single big town now with Part-Dieu as its new center. @chessandgo: Century 19 sculptures! I like the peaceful look of these elephants. The Arimaa Human Figures are ready for the life sized games!
