2016 WC and Warmup rescheduling and appeal thread

This thread is for World Championship and Warmup Round players to post game time rescheduling notices, resumption of play after a forfeit and appeals to game timeout results. Please do not use this thread for discussion on any topic. If posting a rescheduled game please remember that both players must post. The new time slot* must be given and it must be posted 24 hours or more before the new time. ~clyring * Please be sure to include the desired time slot number as given on the time preference setting page. Including the actual time will also help as a confirmation that everyone is agreeing on the same thing, but the time slot is the primary basis for the official time. Hi Clyring. Apparently I was scheduled for a game yesterday? And I forfeited? I never received an email telling me the game time -- only the generic introduction email. I checked my spam folder and there was nothing relevant. When I logged in to the gameroom today I saw other people's scheduled games, and that was the first time I realized something was wrong. I logged in to the chat room. Apparently there was some problem with Pingdom and the server emails? I would have appreciated it if someone had sent me an email or PM letting me know what was going on. Is it possible for me to reschedule my game with Shadow? If not, can it be unrated rather than a forfeit? Thanks. Matthew

| I'm fine with rescheduling the game. And if there isn't any time to do that before the WC begins, then I've no objection to the forfeited game becoming unrated.

A few quick notes: -The forfeited game is already unrated. -I judged a second email in just a few days for what is only a one-round event was too much. Perhaps this was mistaken. -I welcome and encourage you to try to schedule a make-up game, and will encourage commentators (possibly including myself) to show up if you publicize the time, but don't think it should be counted as an event game.

| I didn't realize that. Then this isn't worth wasting more of your time on. on Jan 15th, 2016, 11:23pm, clyring wrote:I judged a second email in just a few days for what is only a one-round event was too much. Perhaps this was mistaken. |
| I was assuming this would work like the World Championship. (And you know what happens when you assume.) I never received an email that had date, time, and opponent on it. I was expecting to receive that by email in advance of my game, and I had no idea that I was expected to log in and get the information myself. (Also I'm embarrassed because last year at the WC I was one of the ones who complained about other people forfeiting.) If anyone else has a game scheduled and they haven't logged in to the gameroom since before the tournament started I encourage you to send them that information. on Jan 15th, 2016, 11:23pm, clyring wrote:I welcome and encourage you to try to schedule a make-up game, and will encourage commentators (possibly including myself) to show up if you publicize the time, but don't think it should be counted as an event game. |
| Ok. I'll publish the date and time here if Shadow and I reshedule our unofficial rematch.

Sorry about forfeiting. I had some unexpected things to deal with on the weekend. I'll be ready for the World Championship.
