"Testing" the game analysis thread. (imo) Interesting game in which I had more luck. I'll be happy about every comment, the longer the better.  Smiley

Why don't you start by posting some of your own thoughts?

My thoughts while the game:
In the beginning I didn't know how to play the opening against the wing camel. Any suggestions what general counter ideas are?
But I think the opening didn't go too wrong for me since I liked my position. I am not sure if framing the horse leads anywhere but it looked good somehow. The attack against the f6 trap was thought to either win material or disturb the silver camel and keep the frame. I thought I might get some initiative after that D vs. H trade and also managed to cement the H frame. (was 18g a common pattern?)
Since he could not brake the frame anymore I wasn't surprised by his H sacrafice but everything went like I expected so in the end I just had an extra dog.
25g was the result of my silliness. When thinking about a position I often just put the move that first comes to mind on the board to see possible counter chances easier. (Anyone else doing this?) Unfortunately I clicked on send instead of U< though I have to admit I wasn't sure what I would have played instead of it. After this the position was not clear anymore.
Since I didn't want my E to be bound down I sacraficed my M for his H on 30g. In the game I thought I would getting some initiative by threatening him. So I pulled his D, threatened the C if he defends his D with the E and so "a tempo" (common English?) activated my E. At 33g I was somehow afraid of a possible goal attack so I advanced my own R hoping his E would come back to defend after which he wouldn't get any attack anymore. Somehow that didn't work how I wanted so I retreated my own E.
With 36g and 37g I framed his R. My idea was that his E was bound to defend the R so my E was free and any possible attack was stopped. Since his E was bound I started pushing my pieces to get some attack. After 41g I felt I should be winning somehow. I think at 43g it already was a forced goal in not too many moves. I was a bit surprised he took my R on 45s since I calculated a force win after this but I am not sure what I expected instead since everything seems to lose.
Then in the end it was just goaling like I planned.

General things about the game:
I had huge respect of kzb since he not only beat me in every game before but really destroyed me every time. But in this game I felt very early that my play was a bit stronger since the last game and that he had a bad day. But still I feared he might strike back somehow and e.g. really feared his "goal attack" at move 33. Looking on it neutrally now the fear seems to be not justified at all. But somehow he made many blunders though I am actually not sure which they were.
All in all I made no big blunders and also had luck on my side.  Smiley
