Training puzzle: Prevent win (p91)

So I'd like to know what I did wrong on the "Gold to move and prevent win" puzzle (p91). My idea was to move the bottom rabbit two spaces to the right, so it is against the horse. (This also leaves two more moves for position improvement, rather than spending all 4 defending against the win). In order for the camel to pull, and the horse to move, that's 4 moves -- now the rabbit cannot advance, and the other two back rabbits could move left next turn, blocking that advance. What makes this idea a failure? What move of silver next turn did I not see?

Vacating the a1 square would allow Silver to score a goal with the rabbit on a2 instead.

Ahh, thank you. (Why didn't I see that?)
