I'm dying to know how their prediction of a XiangQi computer World Champion before 2010 turned out. I recently exchanged e-mail with a computer shogi expet who predicted 2015 as the crossover date for that game.

According to this article (in Chinese), a team of 5 humans lost 9-7 against a supercomputer back in August 2006. The humans won 2 games, drew 5 and lost 3. 3 of the players were grandmasters I believe. The computer examined 4.2 billion moves per second. (that's quite a lot more than Deep Blue)
