It currently will not accept challenges from me, just popping up the "you must defeat Shallow_Blue twice" message whenever I attempt it.
On the off chance it was just a cookie issue, I went back and played Shallow twice, but nothing changed thereafter.
The higher bots seem to suffer the same problem. I have in the past worked my way up to the 4th or so bot, so perhaps it is a database hiccup.

I guess omar made an error when he modified the rules.
In the meantime you might like to try playing last year's world championship bots (at whatever speed or depth). They're available through the link on the right of the gameroom called "Arimaa Bots"... it then gives you the option to start the championship bots so they'll be available in the gameroom. As far as I know there are no rules on when you are allowed to play them.
