Phantom Piece Bug on the Bot Ladder

Hey all,
Sorry for posting this in the forums but I couldn't find any place to submit bug reports.
Ever since Arimaa.com came back up I've been experiencing a random bug upon starting games in the BotLadder. The bug's symptoms are as follows:
When I start the game I am randomly assigned 1-2 fewer pieces than I should. I begin the game down either 1 Horse, 1 Rabbit, or 1 Cat. Almost like a handicap, except not quite.
I say not quite because the piece does still exist as a weird phantom piece. That is to say, if I start the game down Left Horse, and I move Right Horse, then Right Horse disappears and Left Horse reappears! Needless to say this is pretty frustrating, especially since the invisible piece can't be used to push or pull (you can click to begin a push, but never click on the phantom piece to finish it).
To make it even weirder, when you view the completed game everything looks normal - it just looks like I'm making crazy moves and not playing right because I can't move the phantom pieces!
Has anyone else experienced this problem or is it just me?
I lost about a hundred points on my rating because of this bug tonight - not that I really care, but I would guess that this would be extremely frustrating to an absolute newbie trying to just get started.

as far as I can tell, phantom pieces are due to connection troubles (I'm experiencing them these days) ; one way to deal with them is to close the game window and reload it again if you have time to.
For bug reports, you can also send them through the "contact" link on the homepage, but don't hesitate to ask question in the forum, it's the right place to do so ... and it doesn't add tasks to Omar who has to deal with lots of things these days

Also you can try using the new Flash client which has the piece images embedded in it and should not have this problem even if the connection is slow.

Chose the Flash V2 client.

Ahhhh, thanks Omar, I hadn't realized the new client was much better for slow connections. I'll use it from now on.
