problems playing

Hi, when I try and play I just get a blank screen!

I'm runing ubuntu and firefox (v3). Everything seems to work up until the play screen which consists of a drop down menu box (empty) and everything else is blank.

I don't have problems with flash etc on other sites. Anyone with a similar set up go any ideas ?

Thx

Sorry, I'm not sure what might be the problem. I do believe other people around here use Ubuntu so hopefully can chime in with what works for them. One thing that may help is if you can post what version of flash you have (this page should check it).

I didn't even know Firefox 3 was out.  Who else is using it already?  I just checked and I'm on version 2.0.0.14.  I guess I'm way behind the times.

I actually went back to Firefox 2 because of problems with Flash and Java.

The official Firefox 3 releases tomorrow, the 17th.  It has been available in pre-release form for sometime now though.

Has anyone else checked the usability of Arimaa with Firefox 3?

I've been using FF3 release candidates on win xp with the arimaa site for a couple of months now without a problem (of course only to view games not play though).

Another thing I forgot to mention earlier that you might try Caesum is switching the client version you use. This can be done from the "Settings->Game Client" link in the gameroom.

I wonder if FireFox 3 has new security restrictions that might be causing this problem. I'll download it and check it out. Thanks for reporting this.

I've been using ubuntu 8 with firefox 3 since april, I think. And it's working fine for me.

My flash version is 9,0,31,0    maybe that's what makes it work...

Yesterday, Aamir downloaded FF3 on his system and tried it out and it worked fine for him also. Caesum, for now I would suggest upgrading your Flash player and trying again. Just go to www.adobe.com and download the latest one from there.
