I have played a few games against Aamira2006P2 and Aamira2006Fast and noticed it has a tendency to trap its own pieces ... why on earth would it do that ?

P.S. Does this game perhaps qualify for the bot bashing list ?

Typically when a bot can see that it has lost the game, it just picks a random move; and that could be one where it traps its own pieces.
