Web crawler creating accounts?

Omar, from looking at the New Players page it seems apparent that some automated process is creating new accounts, particularly for the country code "Congo-Brazzaville". Is there some way to block robot account creation without hindering legitimate users? Those junk accounts make the New Players page semi-annoying to read.

I had this problem at Boardspace, which I eventually solved by embedding a timestamp in the registration form, and rejecting forms with a stale timestamp.

| But if the bot submits the form right away, it would pass the check, right?
