Disappearing postal game

Looks like a game between Knak and me has disappeared from the gameroom. It started Friday, we'd each played eight or ten moves, and now it no longer appears. Neither of us quit or received any notification.

Worse, I didn't feel like I was losing yet!

I had an issue like this about a year ago. I didn't think too much of it at the time because it was turning into a rout, but I probably should have reported it. It doesn't appear in my game record either; it's just gone.

We started again, we played again. The game semi-disappeared. I now see a game against a different player, showing the same position, with that other player as having resigned.

That other player's game record doesn't show a resignation, and my game record doesn't show a game.

I was the other player.

The latest game's ID was 386235

When I click the link in the email, it says "another player has taken that seat."

I don't see the game in either of our records.

Another disappearance, this time against Heyckie. No substitute game this time.

It seems I am the common factor, so perhaps the message is that one shouldn't play me.

Definitely send a message to Omar through the contact page.  He fixed a postal game that had similar issues between Heyckie and myself.

I just sent Omar a message about the whole thread, don't know if you already did too. I only noticed the disappearing of our game now while reading the forum, I have so many postal games going on at the moment with the mixer.

aurelian vs. Turex also disappeared from the postal mixer. Although the game id is no longer displayed on the tournament page, the elimination process suggests that it was 385716.

mistre vs. omar disappeared in the same conditions. There's a serial killer on the loose.

I sent Omar a message about our disappearing postal game.  He hasn't responded.  I think the serial killer got Omar!  Embarassed

I already sent a message to omar. He replied and said he would try to work on it that night.
I also sent a message to you asking if you would want to replay the game up to the point of the corruption, but you must not have gotten it. Do you want to do that if omar can't restore the game?
