I tried for a while, but can't find a way for gold to win. I guess I haven't learned my lesson.

It appears the study's creator hasn't learned his lesson either...

I don't see any way for gold either, so I'd say silver wins ... guess it's wrong I fail to see any other sensible move for gold than : - Cf8w R to g4 or to e4 where unfreezing the rabbit to e5 seems to win quickly for silver - push the r to d7 and Rf2e where silver pulls the Cat to f7 -push the r to e8 and Rf2w but silver pushes the Cat on e6 -push the r to e6 or f7 but silver pulls the Cat towards the trap. So ... what do I miss ?

Yes, silver wins. My apologies, I made a mistake checking a repetition in the position. The endgame studies are on break until after the deadline for the bot tournament, so I can work on clueless. The tablebase generator is currently building DCRer on my old computer. Best guess looks like it will be done sometime in the middle of January.

| Cool, then we'll finally get the answer to this position on Apr 20th, 2005, 3:55pm, jdb wrote: 1w Ra1 Cd1 Ce1 1b ra8 ed8 2w pass |
| Which I thought was a draw no matter who moves first, Omar thought was a win for Gold no matter who moves first, and you thought was a win for Silver no matter who moves first. 20 months is not such a long time to wait in suspense.
