Blitz applet too hard with lag

I'm a beginner working my way through the bot ladder and am finding the Blitz games extraordinarily frustrating. For a bot tournament, I absolutely see the appeal. But with my laggy browser, 15 seconds is essentially unplayable. Even if I move as fast as I can, I can't always get my moves in that amount of time.
Is this just me? do I need more memory or something? BTW: I'm using FF3.5.

I switched to Safari 4 and it's much, much better. I haven't won yet, but I I can play it.
What browser are you using, qswagger? Perhaps try another.
If you're on windows, I really like chrome.

Tom thanks for mentioning this. Since I am in the same country as the servers, the lag for me is probably only 100ms whereas for you it might even be as much as a second or more. I've been considering increasing the starting reserve time for blitz games. Ever since we changed the time control rule so that unused time from the setup is never added to the reserve the Blitz games feel much harder. Before that I used to do a fast setup and have more time in reserve through out the game.
You might also want to experiment with different game clients and see which works best for you. Select 'Settings' - 'Game Client' to pick the game client. I've been using the JavaScript client and it seems to be working pretty good for me.
