A New Design for an Arimaa Board

I have created a scalable vector graphics version of an Arimaa board, is there anywhere here where I can upload that? I am new to Arimaa, the first thing I missed is that there are four important squares that surround each trap door: even though I knew of the rule for guarding a trap, there is no visual reminder or indicator for those four strategic squares. When you are beginning with Arimaa its an easy thing to forget. In many cases, those squares are more important that the trap door square itself. So I created an SVG file for it, but there is no place here where I can upload it. It is very simple and pleasing to the eye, message me if you want a copy.

It's nice of you to do that. If you contact Omar, I am sure he'll be interested.

If you're willing to release it under a free licence, you might consider uploading it to wikimedia commons. Since wikipedia has an article on Arimaa it would be used there, and it would remain in the archive for anyone else to use.

| I have uploaded it to boardgamegeek under the Arimaa entry. However, it may take a couple of weeks for it to appear there. Basically, a square surrounds each trap door square, touching the trap door at each corner. The bigger square is at a 45 degree angle, and the four squares that surround the trap door each have a triangle in them. Each trap door now looks sort of like an altar on which animals are sacrificed, and each of the four corners in the four surrounding square are basically a "horn" of the altar, which in ancient times was a symbol of protection.

| The file is now there - look under the files section for Arimaa (http://www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/4616/arimaa). Looks like when you contribute content to boardgamegeek they award you with "geek gold", but not sure what to do with that.

If you save up enough geek gold, you can buy an avatar picture for the BoardGameGeek forums. You can also buy badges and microbadges, which are small decorative pictures that go around your avatar picture.

| I figured that out - and apparently Geek Gold has an actual exchange rate with the U.S. Dollar.
