Hi, andra. Welcome to Arimaa! The Arimaa engine Bomb is the only one available so far with a decent interface. You can play it for free, but only in weak mode. To play the full version you must pay. There are several other engines available for free, such as Occam and Fairy. Those engines play at full strength. However, they don't have a nice GUI for you to enter your moves in response. The has been some work done on interface projects, but none have completely matured. Some day a free Arimaa GUI will be available, and you will be able to drop any Arimaa engine you want into that GUI. Unfortunately we are still at least a couple of years away from that. Let me recommend that you buy Bomb from Smart Games. I have certainly never regretted my purchase, and I bought it when it was still $29.95! The current price of $19.95 is relatively modest.

| I tried that, but once I got beyond a certain move number it refused to go further until registration. On the second game I got a popup saying gold played an illegal move (I was silver) after which it kept waiting for me to make a move when it was not my turn. Having an Arimaa GUI that could play different engines would definitely be nice. I guess Im spoiled with the Chess GUI clients that are out there.
