Is it possible to initiate games with postal time controls with bots as we can with realtime games? Thanks

There's nothing specifically outlawing this, but there are no server bots that can currently start postal games. However, I suspect the Meijin team would still be happy to offer you a postal game against their bot.

Thanks clyring for mentioning meijin. Dpalmer, we can probably set that up. What time control would you prefer? The usual 1d/60d thing?

Actually, with what I've got in mind, a looser time control would work better. I'm trying to set up something akin to the mob game, but with a group of about more or less equal players that we could share our thoughts before moving. Maybe something more like 4d/90d. Is the possible? If problematic, other options could also work, I just want to make sure that we have time to discuss a move.

Team meijin generally is open to any sort of time control though I think while meijin may have a chance against a single player, playing a team of players might not be a very close match. But nontheless we can of course do it. Should meijin send you a postal challenge then? (with that 4d/90d time control)

It's much more for the learning experience than anything else - if you want to make it unrated, that's fine with me. Yes, please send an invite at your convenience. Thank you

Bots have different behavior and advantages depending on the difficulty selected. Some behavior is standard, regardless of difficulty selected. Most notably the bots will not jungle or pursue creep buffs, though the bots on the Twisted Treeline map will actively acquire altar and pad buffs located around the map. The other universal behavior is a faster revive time if killed. Bots will occasionally chat at the beginning and end of games. Click here for more details.
