I nominate Nombril for round 3. He played an excellent game. Also, an honorable mention to woh, who kept playing even when hope seemed lost and got the win.

I like to nominate myself for the Masochist of the Season award. Seriously, I was also thinking about picking ginrunner, so consider his nomination seconded.

I am guessing ginrunner gets player of the round for round 4? He is the only one nominated, but no official announcement has been made. For round 5, I nominate ocmiente for playing a good game and winning in the least amount of moves against an equally matched opponent (also the only upset in round 5 based on peak WHR ratings, not counting forfeits). I second Adanac's nomination for round 6, as he played a great game and kept his team in the lead. I also second Nombril for player of the tournament with 5 wins. I nominate Adanac for the Manager's award for his persistent attempts at recruiting and excellent selection of players that led to his team's victory. I nominate woh for most spectacular comeback for his game in round 3.

You might already be correcting this as I write this, but the link to my game against cvic doesn't go to the rescheduled one and if you are going to point out forfeits, imanigeeit versus knak was another one.

OK, let's tie up the loose ends here: I nominate both VinceS and Boo for the Rising Star Trophy and let anyone else who wants to, break (or recreate) the tie. "Most Innovative Strategy" is a really hard category for which to find entries, and I'm glad to see it go, but if I had to pick one for the season, I'm going with that of rabbits in his game against Nombril in round 3. Despite losing in the end, he managed to come out pretty well with his bold forward strategy in the opening.
