With 15 players having made it into the finals, the prize fund distribution by final ranking will be:
Code:
Splitting a fund of 259011, 15 ways
1. 78057 chessandgo
2. 39029 browni3141
3. 26019 Fritzlein
4. 19514 99of9
5. 15611 supersamu
6. 13010 rabbits
7. 11151 Adanac
8.  9757 harvestsnow
9.  8673 Alfons
10. 7806 Hippo
11. 7096 Tuks
12. 6505 omar
13. 6004 clyring
14. 5575 Brendan_M
15. 5204 odin73

Also a possibly mildly interesting aside. The naive distribution would have left 2 arimaa points unassigned. The Sainte-Lague method gives them to the 2nd and 6th place finishers.

Don't you rather mean that that is how your implementation of the method is breaking the tie?

Hmm, yes you are right. Specifically, and to expand for others, the Sainte-lague method itself does not specify how to assign the last few points when there are multiple ranks tied to receive them. In this case it just so happens that 3 ranks (2, 6 and 14) are tied for the last 2 points. My implementation just happens to prefer the highest ranks first in the case of a tie.

I am currently leaning toward this being the correct thing to do here anyway.

I am currently leaning toward the distribution of factional cents being not worth the TD worrying about, compared to, well, just about any other tournament issue. Smiley

That is impressive prize money!  Congrats Denny's - I'll make sure I stop in next time I'm in the Americas.

Congratulations to again to chessandgo as well as all of the other finalists. I've now updated the list in the first post to include the final player rankings.
