Sorry I cant contribute much this week gents. My best friend, occasional player purplebaron, is getting married tomorrow at noon. (This is also why he is not in the postal tourney this year.)

I'm just squeezing in a couple of postal moves between getting my tux altered and the rehearsal dinner tonight. But the discussion in the other thread looks delicious, I really wish I had time to dig into it!

p.s. NIC1138 I'm very jealous of the amount of time you've had to play recently. Your rating has now passed mine, and I've lost ~150 points since february, much of it due to losses to you! ;-)

I took a sabbatical week to enhance my arimaalogy. I also believe my rating is inflated because I´ve been playing overrated bots...

As for the said losses: Nonsense!! We only completed 2 matches, and we are even!... For the moment! ::)

Hmmm... she is a game player, it could happen. Though right now Myra (scott's wife) and Roxane (my girlfriend) are mostly annoyed with Arimaa because it keeps distracting him and I when the four of us get together to play Magic: the gathering or Carcassonne. ;-)

I will definitely pass along the congratulations.

Bah. We are even in games, but I was rated 300 points higher when I lost the second two games. You took a bunch of my points! :)

You'll notice I've slowed down on one of our two postal games. Your last 3-4 moves in that game were very good, and I am no longer certain I have an advantage, I fear a big bloody race coming soon and I am not sure who wins it! So I am taking more time to think about my replies in that game. Like an extra week or three.

I just realized that chessandgo is missing out on all this pleasant banter. Maybe for his sake we should either try to post innocuous stuff in the main area of the Forum, or we should invite him to come here and read all the threads except the "Move X" threads.

This is the "2007 One vs TheMob" forum, not the "2007 TheMob" forum. Chessandgo is a part, an essential part, of this game, so of course he may join us. He just mayn't look at the "Move X" threads. And mob members, don't leak any classified information outside of the Move threads.
