I thought it might be cool if everybody could have a badge to put at the foot of their signature to show their team colours.

I like the idea of this. New players like myself should be able to see them while looking through the forum, be intrigued, and want to learn more about the World League. :)

I'm hoping to add this one to my signature. I'd be happy to join the Rockies. :) But we'll see what happens with another season happening or not, and where I'll be needed most.

Also, after seeing Atlantics appear on the white-background, it seems like the background of the word blends in quite a bit. Would we want to consider changing the background shade slightly to stand out more?

The best of both worlds in your sig.  :)

If we have the same turnout as last season, you are most needed on the Rockies.  We had the fewest number of unique players.   But I guess if Braveheart becomes active for us now that he has an Internet connection and if NJames is often available to play, then another team might have equal claim to needing you.

Hi Dolus.  You're most welcome to join the Rockies!  Even with NJames recently joining and Braveheart getting a better connection, we could still use some more low- to medium-rated players.

I'm not sure whether or not we'll have another round this year. It would be great if we do, and even better if you were available, since I anticipate being unavailable for many of the coming weekends.  But regardless of what happens, you can still join the team simply by posting an "I'm Joining" type of message in the Rockies thread and then registering at: http://arimaa.com/arimaa/events/reg.cgi?e=2011awl, while in the gameroom.

Hope you'll get to play some exciting league games soon!

I took the liberty of tweaking the badges a bit, they were looking a bit grotty after they'd been converted to JPG. I hope nobody minds.

From now on if any of the teams want to change their colours they could talk about it in their team thread and then the manager could make a final decision. Your badge is all yours now!

The change looks great. The added border really makes it pop more.

These are really cool. Thanks for making them.

One suggestion; you might want to have these badges link to the AWL wiki page (http://tinyurl.com/3ubvx9f) so that new users will know what these are.

For example, I changed my signature to:

That's not a bad idea. I previously linked mine to the Rockies Team Thread, but I think that's a better idea. It will better promote the World League.
