Nice! I haven't spoken German in so long that I can barely form a complete sentence, but astonishingly I find I can understand everything you are saying. Surely that is only because you are discussing Arimaa rather than, say, politics.

Your name suggests german ancestors... Infact when I first heared it, I was convinced you were german and was suprised to find out you are not.

Anyways, always good to be understood. I usually understand non-native-english speakers better than ... most of the american ones. (not really having trouble understanding brits)

By the way, do they say "zwo" (instead of "zwei") all over Germany, or is that regional?

I'm pretty sure that noone would ever write it but I guess that saying "zwo" instead of "zwei" is pretty common, to be used while counting up quickly.

Rammstein also uses it that way in one of their songs and they are from a completly different region:
