Title: 2010 CC bots
Post by rbarreira on May 27th, 2010, 1:39am
When will the 2010 CC bots be added to the bots page (http://arimaa.com/arimaa/bots/index.cgi)?

It would be interesting to see how all those bots play on a single core, and in a few months I hope to be able to run test matches of my bot against some of them.

Never mind, I saw omar already commented on this:

(also, I put this in the wrong forum, apologies)

What does 'CC' on a bot mean?

It means get ready to be patient.  The bot will think two minutes per move, on average, thus even longer on select moves.

Yeah, I wish I could set the time controls on the game regardless of which bot I choose to play.

That would be open to some abuses.  Most bots don't understand and adapt to all the different time control parameters; they can only cope with whatever they had to in order to participate in the Computer Championship and Arimaa Challenge.  Any time control beyond that at which they can survive is a bonus.

I just noticed that there are now 4 bots from the 2010 CC available:

Marwin, Clueless, Gnobot and Badger.

Nice omar, it will be great to have those bots available for testing. Hope you can get the remaining three (sharp, pragmatictheory and opfor) working as well.
