I've been considering for quite a while running a bot tournament outside of the WC cycle. Just wondering if there is any interest out there from the developers in participating?

I would be interested. I have been considering writing a bot for a while, and I decided to try to do it over the holiday while I had some vacation time that I had to use or lose. I've made some progress on my bot, but I'm not going to be able to get it ready for this year's contest. I would love to play some other bots when my bot is ready.

So long as the WC doesn't burn me out I'll probably try and get something going again either this summer or more likely in the fall.

I plan to have a bot by the fall. It suggested its first move today :)
