Hey,

I will be using this thread for the occasional update about the new bot Meijin.

You have all probably noticed the lack of great strength improvements of Meijin.  

That is because we have concentrated on getting a good base for future improvements. Among other things we have written a static goal detector and static capture move generator. These are now improved to a state where it's time to start phase II, i.e. to work on evaluation and search and optimizations. I hope that we will see more improvements soon, especially when Thomastanck is back from his exams.  :)
