Title: Open Swiss Tournament March 15th

On Saturday, March 15th there will be an open swiss tournament. Games will be played at a fast time control, with players able to come and go as they are available. It will last from 6:00am EDT through 10:00pm EDT.

I like the format! It complements the World Championship tournament nicely.

The WC is good in determining the best player, showcases the games, and provides glory and $$ for getting to the finals or podium and especially for winning it all.

But this tournament should have the advantages of fewer extreme mismatches, fewer forfeits and fewer scheduling complications.

I hope to play in a few game as time permits.

Great! My hope is to provide some more Arimaa tournament experience for a wider player base. Hopefully this one will work as a bit of a test for a few more tournaments through the rest of the year.

Thanks everyone for the great turn out and participation. I hope everyone had fun and we can do it again sometime in the not too distant future.

Edit: I've now added a table of results to the wiki (http://arimaa.com/arimaa/mwiki/index.php/2014_Weekend_Tournaments#March_15_Open_Swiss_Tournament). Let me know if I made any errors in it.

Thanks for running it!
