We are supporting rescheduling games again this year.

This thread is also for any notes and appeals after a timeout, and for the resumption of play after a forfeit.

Again the rescheduling rules are:

  • Both players should post here
  • Both players should include the timeslot of their future game
  • Other information (such as the game time in EDT or UTC) is helpful, but the game will be scheduled based on timeslot number.  Ensure the number is correct, and beware of daylight savings!
  • Please make every effort to post here at least 24 hours before the ORIGINAL start time.  I will make reasonable efforts to move games on shorter notice, but I can only guarantee a reschedule if I get 24 hours of warning.


Please do not use this thread for anything else.

Hi all--my apologies to Emaad for missing our match this evening by two hours. Is there any chance that it could be rescheduled? Either way, I'm still down to play round 3--not giving up after rabbits slaughtered me, I just thought that UTC was two hours ahead of me whereas it's actually four hours ahead of me.

We may look into offering post-elimination makeup games for the forfeits (a la the swiss section in past WCs and auxiliary games in the past couple of years), if this is certain not to affect the automatic pairing algorithm.

FOTF is paired in round 3.

Adanac and I exchanged a few emails and decided 9pm eastern time on Wednesday the 26th is the best time to reschedule our game. Is this okay?

browni and I have agreed to (if allowed) postpone our round 6 game by exactly six days to 1400 EDT on Saturday, July 29.
