Be relaxed when playing games. Be cautious when making moves.

This is a thread dedicated for photos.

I like your photos.
Very peaceful images.

I find it interesting how plain the covers and how many of the bindings are basically white. I assume this is the technical section from the one book that has cd-rom on it but even so I would expect much 'noisier' covers in an american bookstore.

Thanks for the interesting pictures.

Note that the book that Jan is holding displays the katakana finansu, which is the Japanese transliteration of finance. Likewise, by reading the kanji on the book below him that has "Q&A" on it, you can tell that its title is Japanese Economics. Even more telling is the fact that the kanji on the shelf label, above all the books on the green, says "Financial Literature." Jan is standing in the financial section, where it is quite unsurprising that the books have unexciting covers. However, the lettering on the books appears to be designed to jump out and advertise them.

You're quite a regular Sherlock Holmes, aren't you?  ;)

Ahh, financial. Still I would be surprised to see that many white bindings. I'm a fairly prolific reader/library patron but I must admit I don't read many financial books so maybe that has something to do with it.

Ironically, I could not read Japanese. Nevertheless, I could read Chinese and I found the Financial section without any help.

In fact, I prefer conservative bindings--- such as those found in academic journals.

Impressive, how many languages do you practice?

I for one am a much bigger fan of natural wonders than of big cities, that said, Winnipeg seems like a nice place though.
