Title: Posting Guidelines Post by Forum Admin on Sep 12th, 2010, 1:29pm To ensure that the Arimaa forum is a constructive, non-discriminatory and friendly place to discuss Arimaa and other topics of interest to the community, we ask that you adhere to the following guidelines when posting in any area of this forum. We hope to maintain a positive atmosphere and promote constructive discussions so that your time spent here is both enjoyable and productive. If you have any questions or comments please send a message via the contact form. http://arimaa.com/arimaa/contact/ These guidelines are by no means exhaustive and one is expected to use their own self judgement to regulate their postings. Your posting or thread may be deleted if it violates the guidelines. Repeated violation of these guidelines after receiving a warning will result in one being banned from the arimaa.com web site. Members of the Arimaa community are asked to send alerts of postings that may be in violation via the contact page. The final determination of violation will be made by the administrator of the site. Respect other forum members While it is quite common to disagree with other members, we will not tolerate posts which insult, belittle, bait or otherwise antagonise forum members. For example: 'You're a complete idiot: that's not the case at all' is not acceptable; a simple, 'I don't agree with that' would suffice. Offensive material You must not post messages, images or links that are vulgar, crude, sexist, racist, homophobic or otherwise offensive. We would like to make each of our members feel welcome, so we do not tolerate offensive postings. Also keep in mind that some of our members are children and so casual swearing is also not permitted. External links and Advertising We allow links to third-party sites when they are relevant to ongoing discussion. Anyone posting URLs of sites excessively or in a way which could be considered as advertising will have their post removed. If you wish to advertise on this site, please contact us. Copyright Do not reproduce complete texts or images which you do not own and are not in the public domain. When linking to articles elsewhere on the Internet, you may quote the first few lines and then provide a link to the content in full. If quoting other media, be sure to cite your source. New Game Announcements You are most welcome to post the rules of your new game in this section. Please start a new thread for each new game. |
