Title: Seeking the Endgame Post by omar on Sep 16th, 2010, 4:04pm I came across this interesting documentary the BBC is doing about Chess. Be sure to listen to the audio stream. http://www.bbc.co.uk/worldservice/documentaries/2010/09/100909_seeking_the_endgame_one.shtml In the first part of the series they are talking a lot about the impact computer technology has had on Chess. They interviewed David Levy and I was hoping to hear him mention Arimaa :-) |

Title: Re: Seeking the Endgame Post by clojure on Oct 12th, 2010, 2:16pm I wonder what kind of endgame the commentators will have after the games considering how well they get along... ::) I forgot the video totally after Fritzlein's feedback on my tutorial. I didn't see the endings of openings and middle play which interests me most. Sniff. |

Title: Re: Seeking the Endgame Post by clojure on Oct 15th, 2010, 1:09pm This guy seems to have a lot of interesting commentary on different games, for example Fischer's. I particularly like how he uses graphical markings to help visualize how pieces fit to the current piece structure. http://www.youtube.com/user/kingscrusher |
