Title: I'm not from Russia Post by arimaaphile on Jun 9th, 2011, 11:47pm Hi all, I'm new to arimaa community. I discovered the game when I was searching for a good strategic game and found arimaa. So far I love it. I registered and enjoyed playing with bots. However, here is the problem. My account info show me as from Russia but I'm not from Russian Federation. I tried to fix it by choosing country but it does not help. I'm from a country which is very close to Russia geographically (Azerbaijan). Would anyone mind to help me fix it? Title: Re: I'm not from Russia Post by Fritzlein on Jun 10th, 2011, 12:17am In the game room, along the left side are menus. Select the Settings->Account menu. If you click on the "Country" button you can declare your Azerbaijan citizenship. It won't save it unless you enter your password again. Or is this what you already tried? By the way, wasn't there some famous chess player from Azerbaijan once? ;) |

Title: Re: I'm not from Russia Post by The_Jeh on Jun 10th, 2011, 12:21am When you search for your location on the map using the Google search box on the bottom left, you will be taken to that location, but the map's center arrow will be above the location's "A" arrow. So when you search for Azerbaijan on the map, the map will be taken to it, but the center arrow will be north of it on part of Russia. You have to drag the map down so that the center arrow is on your location in Azerbaijan. Then your country will be listed correctly. |
