Title: Hello from France Post by earane on Sep 21st, 2013, 1:40am Hello, I have been looking at the net about this great game and also the fact that it is not part of World Computer ChampionShip. Why is there not participant for this event ? That's why I look at the forum and would like to make or participae of development of a bot... Take care |

Title: Re: Hello from France Post by supersamu on Sep 21st, 2013, 6:00am Hello, earane. I had to search a bit, but now I am pretty sure you are talking about this event: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computer_Olympiad The wiki page says that there are not enough entrants to run a tournament. There is a Computer championship of Arimaa every year, and that is run by Omar: http://arimaa.com/arimaa/wcc/2013/ I guess the Arimaa bot developers donīt want to enter in two Computer Championships per Year, because we already have an official Computer champion. Anyways, if you want to develop a bot, you are free to do so. The Computer Championship has the purpose to find out which two bots are eligible to play in the screening match. The better bot in the screening advances to the Arimaa challenge and its developer has a shot at winning over 10.000$! |

No, probably March 2014. And you'd have to register by the end of December 2013 (and finish programming the bot sometime at around 22nd February 2014 if it works like last year). Last year's rules including dates: http://arimaa.com/arimaa/wcc/2013/rules.html |
