This week, I began occasionally getting this error message when opening games. Fritzlein said he has been getting it as well. Probably it is a new error message that Omar just added (a good thing), but I thought I should mention it in case it is an old message that is being triggered by some new problem (a bad thing).

I've been seeing this also, but I didn't intentionally add it. Probably some change I made on the server might have started triggering this. I haven't figured out yet what that is.

I've seen it to. I managed to get rid of it by teling flash to stop looping and restarting.

But now i've been unable to reproduce it.

I've gotten this error at least a dozen times today, about 2/3 of the time I try to open a position. I verified from work, where I have a faster connection, that it isn't just the slow speed of my dialup at fault.

How do you tell Flash to stop looping?

I finally traced this to a very strange problem of session entries not getting saved as expected in a hash file. Sometimes it gets saved and sometimes it doesn't. For now I've added a temporary fix to try saving the session entry again if it doesn't look like it was saved (up to 10 tries).

Thanks for putting in the hours debugging, Omar. I know it's not as fun as spending the time playing Arimaa, but we really appreciate having a stable server.

But those of us who also have a ways to go on the bot ladder (in terms of fighting our way up it) absolutely appreciate the hard work.
