I've changed the Bot Bashing Hall of Fame page to use a Wiki so that it can be updated without my intervention. Please be sure to read the help pages before making changes to the page. Thanks.

Do you mind if we move shallowblue and arimaazilla into the "fixed" category?  I thought they were P1 and P2 respectively.

Yes, you are right; shallowBlue and Arimaazilla should have been in the fixed peformance section. Looks like someone already did it. Thanks.

I fixed the problem with the registration, but it still has problems sending out the welcome email. Haven't figured that one out yet. You should be able to register now, but I just use the guest account to edit the pages; one less password to remember.

It seems like there's been a good deal of botbashing since I last played a game.  The Wiki Page seems to be working fabulously!

Is there any reason we couldn't set up a "commented games" wiki from the main page?  What I mean is, anyone could start on a commented games page, without administrative help, as soon as they have time and inclination, right?  You've already set up all that is necessary for any number of Wiki pages of different types, right?

Thanks for doing this, Omar.  I believe the Arimaa community will really shine given this extra outlet for creative energy.

Thanks for the reminder Karl, I was meaning to add a page like that also but couldn't decide how to organize it. I've added it now as just a blank page; I'll leave it up to you guys to decide how to organize it.

I setup a top level Arimaa Wiki page so we can add pages such as the comments page off of that.

Thanks for your kind words.  The last of my games you listed was not entirely successful however!

I think it's a good idea to collect games of a certain "type", and identify the different types of ways arimaa can be won.  Superstrategies perhaps.  I'll start a new thread.

The Arimaa Wiki pages were all messed up due to a spammer trying to add hidden links to commercial sites. I guess they do that to try and increase their ranking in the google search results.

The pages were so messed up I couldn't even see the previous versions through the wiki. I had to manually restored them from backups.

I guess there is really no way to prevent someone from doing this kind of stuff in a wiki. Perhaps what I might do is allow edits from only one account and share the password with only established members of the Arimaa community who request it.

No problem. I was just really worried that maybe even the backups had been messed up and we might be losing all those wiki pages. We were fortunate to notice it just in time.

I went to edit:

to change "Nickle and Dime" to "Nickel and Dime" ... but I couldn't, and I don't thinks I'm an established member yet either! ;) ... maybe someone can change it?

well, I don't know if this is the right place to ask, should I start a new thread or something? I don't think it is quite a good enough win to be worthy of its own thread, but there is an empty spot in the bot bashers table for "win by immobilization" against Clueless 2005 P2, playing as silver. I have a win against that bot as silver, 30538, in 48 moves.

We should probably have a topic in the Forum called "Announce Bot Bashing Record" where players can post a new record they have just set. That a good way for everyone to become aware of a new record and also one of the senior members who maintain the Bot Bashing wiki page can update the page to add the new record.

We should also have a link near the top of the Bot Bashing wiki page to the Forum topic to let players know to make an announcement.
