Ok, the new guy has a question.. I've just been introduced to the game and was planning to learn all I can from playing bots before I take up any of your time. As luck would have it, I can't seem to load my match with bot_Aamira2006P1. Has this been a problem for anyone else?

What happens when you try to load it?

An easier bot to start with is bot_ArimaaScoreP1, but I think the "bot ladder" serves up whichever bot is lower ranked at the time.

The board itself will load, but then the connection drops off to nothing. I waited over an hour and still didn't have game pieces or an opponent.

Excellent! I'm glad it works now, and that you had the patience to try four times. I know that technical issues deter many newcomers, at great loss to the community, so it's great for us to see you stick it out. A year from now when you have become expert at Arimaa and in the process realized it is one of the greatest strategy games in the universe, you will look back on the moment and be glad for your fortitude. :)

I have similar problems when my broadband slows down. My only suggestion is to keep closing and reopening the game window after it is clear that the game is not coming up.

This happened to me when I had dial-up. Not all the time, but sometimes. I haven't had this particular problem ever with broadband. Thank you for asking, el_Triste, instead of going away. I hope you enjoy learning the game!
