The javascript client appears to have broken yesterday evening or early this morning. Attempting to open a game results in the two following errors:

Same here, tried Firefox and IE 7.

I'm using Chrome and the JS client is working, if that helps debug at all.

I tried Chrome and it works, nothing else does for me.

Getting a blank white screen with javascript as well, Firefox on XP.

Switched to Flash client and it worked fine.

I'm on Firefox using Vista and I'm getting a blank screen too. I switched to the Flash client in the gameroom but when I click on the links sent to my email for postal games it still tries to open the javascript client I think.

The last link I got sent for a postal: http://arimaa.com/arimaa/java/ys/ms4/v5/js_sit.cgi?sid=xxxxxxxxxx&grid=3&rand=xxxxxxxx&noresize=1

(I have replaced specific numbers with x's).

The problem still persists today: blank game screen, XP+Firefox. Any suggestions for workaround? It would be good to able to play or/and view games.

AFAIK, the workaround is to use Google Chrome or the flash client, check in the gameroom. Left bottom menu, under Settings -> Game Client.

Yes, this explanation needs to be prominently displayed, or else the default client should be changed until this is fixed.

Agreed, there are even people asking about it in the chatroom. This should be a rather high priority as it could be turning people off the site for a while.

A minor change I had made, worked fine under Chrome, but I had assumed it would for other browsers as well and not tested it with FF or IE. Thanks Ricardo for bringing this to my attention. It should be fixed now.
