It's an especially fun puzzle because it changes!  I worked on it for a while, and I when I came back to it Gold no longer had the a1 rabbit...  I'm sad to say that in the current configuration I can find no goal in 3.    :'(

I found the original solution, but I think silver can prevent all 3 move goals with the new setup.

1w Da3 Re5 Ce4 Rh4 Rh5 Hg6 Dd2 Md5 Eg3
1b rd7 rd3 ra4 cb3 rf6 rg2 rg4 rh3 rh6 cc2 df7 md8 ee6

ok, I change it once more, adding a dog to silver ... and don't think it makes your life harder ; even though I don't think it withdraws defensive opportunities for silver, it will force you to look in the right direction ... :) And if you saw the initial problem, it makes an extra indication ;) But it looks more aesthetic this way :)

I think I've found the solution.

argh ... I hope not ... if you're sure, I can send you my solution, so that you can tell me where I miss a defensive move

It took me about 10 minutes to find the solution.  I like puzzles!

How do we know that we are talking about the same solution here?

It seemed to me that there was only one first move by Gold which was winning, only one first move by Silver which prevented immediate loss, and only one second move by Gold which then forced the win in three moves.  By now I think everyone has had enough chance to solve the puzzle that it would be OK to post the solution here, particularly if you think there is more than one solution.  Those of us who only found one solution would benefit by seeing another.

It seems to me that there are at least two solutions. If one of them is flawed I'd like to see why.

Well, then, go ahead and post both solutions.  Then either you will learn something or I will!

The one I see is

2w Md5n Hg6n rh6w Rh5n (cool because the hanging M blocks the e and frees the e5R)
2b md8e me8e mf8e mg8e
3w Re5w Rd5w Rc5w Rb5w
3b block a5R with d7r or freeze a5R with e
4w goal on b file if blocked or Da3n Ra5n Ra6n Ra7n

I call this one solution because there's only one move 2w.  Dorian, do you consider the two defenses at 3b to be two solutions or do you have a different 2w that forces goal?

It looks like I was mistaken.

I just realized that there was a form to submit puzzles, but I am unable to link on the wiki. What's the deal with wiki's password ?

We had trouble with Wiki spam, so the password is now private, but not secret.  I will send you a private message with the password, unless I remember it incorrectly.
