Title: I am back. Post by Arimanator on Oct 19th, 2007, 1:34pm Thanks to Omar's generosity, I am back on the saddle (as myself ;)) and ready to compete for the WC, the latter being thanks to Fritzlein's generosity (he knows what I mean). I know that not too many of you are overly scared by that prospect and you're right, just take a look at my P8 rating; I take a real beating there. I just wanted to let you know officially, wherever I go I don't like to sneak in, sometimes I do, but that doesn't mean I like it. Cheerio! :) |

Title: Re: I am back. Post by Fritzlein on Oct 19th, 2007, 2:06pm Welcome back! I'm glad you have decided to enter the big tournament. My advice is to get in plenty of training games against humans before the World Championship; my results suffered in each of the last two years from not training enough against humans. I see there are five registrants already; you will be number six. In Omar's words... on 10/08/07 at 08:40:38, omar wrote:

Title: Re: I am back. Post by Fritzlein on Oct 20th, 2007, 1:39pm Ah, IdahoEv, I thought we had discussed applying the prize to Arimaanator's World Championship entry fee. Just PayPal it to Omar with a note to that effect. That's agreeable to you, right Arimanator? |

That's exactly what we agreed on Fritz. I thank you both for helping me on that matter. I am still uneasy about using anything but checks for distant payments. IdahoEv, I salute you for your scrupulous honesty and I was meaning to ask you. Does your handle have anything to do with the Duncan Idaho of Dune? |

Thank you - I do stick to my word, even if I occasionally disappear for a few months at a time. :-) Quote:
No, it's simpler than that. I grew up in Boise, Idaho, USA, and though I live in southern California now, I have a very strong attachment to the beautiful state I grew up in. (Less so to its politics, but that's a different story...) |
