Puzzle #1: How long is the shortest possible Arimaa game?

Puzzle#2: Can it be accomplished without a either side losing a piece?

Fun. Here's my attempt for both puzzles, not counting resignation on the first move.

Edit: Actually, I guess this one is a step shorter, if you are counting steps, but involves some piece sacrificing.
