Obviously I didn't grasp the full subtlety of Puzzle 8, and it was just warm-up for this one. Here's my first attempt at a solution for Puzzle 9, with Gold winning on 8g:
2g Rc2w Rd1www 2s rb4eeee
3g Rd2eee Rb2e 3s rf4e
4g Re1eee Rc2e 4s rg4www
5g Rh1www Ra1n 5s rd4eee
6g Re1eee Ra2n
and any 6s allows Gold to goal on 8g.

this puzzle helped me understand how i was wrong on the other lol ... i think i got it but I'll wait to post it.

edit: my solution is almost exactly the same as fritz's except I have silver doing some slightly different moves which changes the subtle nature of it but same initial moves for sure. I think we diverge somewhere around move 4 ish.
