are there currently new arimaa books (in english) being written right now?

It's doubtful. There's only half a dozen of people at best with enough qualifications to write one and two of them have already written their book.

I haven't heard of a book being written, but the one that should be written next is "Arimaa Goal Attack Studies" by Mathew Brown. This is a concrete hole in the literature and the best person to fill that hole.

Browni3141, you may be surprised to learn that it is even worth a little money. I thought the number of people who would pay $16.95 for an Arimaa book would be in the dozens, but over 400 have done so, not even counting promotional copies.

This needs to be done so much that, as a sweetener, I will even spring for a copy of ziltoid to help you analyze if you agree to start collecting goal puzzles and writing up your analyses.

I'll second that, put me down for a pre-order.

I would actually prefer to buy a video tutorial (or series of video tutorials!) on goal attacks if that is less daunting than writing a book.
