I saw that he hasn't logged in for nearly 4 YEARS!!!

I hope that at least everything is OK for him.

He was active at BoardGameGeek (https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/1796666/2-tweaks-make-arimaa-better) somewhat more recently.

His last login at BGG was 2017-07-20. Still quite a long time.

I have no idea what happened to him, but the last time he was active he had been expressing a desire to move on to interests other than Arimaa.
