I'm also for 38s Df5n Df6x ef4n ef5s rg4e. It does appear that the two moves transpose into each other, but we should probably leave the dog in a more developed position until it is concretely necessary to retreat it.

The two main alternatives were dc5n as our fourth step, which is a transposition that could cost us time, or to use this move pull Re3n. But if we pull Re3n this turn, we have to also play the anti-positional rd5e in order to prevent 39g Rg1w Rf1n Re4n Df5e. Therefore, if we really like to pull the rabbit, we should do it after killing the dog to avoid the tactical complication.
In short, I support the consensus move.
