Title: Move 12
Post by Hannoskaj on May 21st, 2009, 4:03am
It would seem that Fritzlein expected this: he has already replied:
mc3 Ec4 He5.
Good call by SImon.

Sorry I missed yesterday's vote.
I do not know if I will have time to think on this move either.
My first thoughts are jdb's push south twice, or push south once and camel e3.

Yeah, double horse push looks best for now.

So I propose 12g he5s Ed5e he4s Ee5s too.

I did some analysis with clueless on the double horse push last week. If I remember correctly, this move wins us material. I'll see if I can locate it.

I like the double push too.  Delays for silver I see are:

1) bring the camel to g3 where we can take it hostage.

2) pull out the gold camel which we can keep putting back and I don't think silver can make progress that way.

Possible voice vote here and get some reserve back.  If we can commit six, without objections, I'll do it.

I agree with the proposed 12g move.  I'd prefer to vote quickly to build up our reserve.

Ron: OK for me.

At least there is no risk with that move. The very worst that could happen would be Fritz equalizing. Or even maybe near-equalizing since there is still h5 rabbit.

I let clueless run for a couple hours on the position.

D:13 50:37.36 -5527        ec4e ed4s Ce2w he3s Ee4s Ha5s Ha4e Hb4s hc5w rf7s rf6s rf5s
D:13 02:15:17 -5514        rf7s rf6s rf5s cg7e Mc3e Dh4w Ce2w Cb2n mg6s mg5w Dg4n

Either way, we get a rabbit.

I support this move too.

What happens if Frit moves his other horse west then pulls the camel north by moving his elephant west?

Does that put us in any bad shape? We can't take his horse without losing our camel or without losing another piece by sacrificing on the trap.

In that case, we'd play 13g Rc2n Cb2e Mc4e Md4s, leaving us with an outstanding position.

I like double push too.

There seems to be consensus and Ice's issue has been addressed.  The double push has been made.
