AWL Team Logo Concepts??

Looking on the AWL wiki, and in the forum, something seemed missing. Unfortunately, that led to some brainstorming, and a discussion with ChrisB, and now this thread.
In the spirit of "hey, that would be cool", I came up with ideas for logos for each of the four teams in AWL. I'm not a good artist by anyone's imagination (you would think someone who works in GIS should be able to draw, but alas  ), but I am willing to sit down and produce some rough concept sketches in the hope that a good artist or Photoshopper might be able to make something more out of them for the League and the community.
So, if everyone's up for it, I'll get to work on the other three concepts I had in mind. Managers--if you want to discuss it among your team members and provide me with a concept of your own, I'm willing to try it out too, I just don't know how fast I'll be able to sketch everything.
Okay, enough waiting--the first concept logo (Rockies) is in the post below.

You can't post a picture directly to the forum; you can only link an image that is available elsewhere with the image tag.

Random thoughts about the Europa concept:
Thought 1: It got more and more complex as I thought about it, to the point where I had a realization right before sketching and said, "Too much. I've got to make a logo that is simple." So this is what I came up with.
Thought 2: The realization happened when trying to match colors from my pencils to the Europa banner tag. As nothing really matched up, it was, "Hey . . . why didn't I see that earlier? Forum Blue and Gold--the (L.A.) Lakers colors."
Thought 3: I should explain for non-native English speakers the concept name. A group of dogs/wolves/hounds is referred to as a 'pack'.
Bonus Thought: If Europa are the Lakers of AWL, does that make chessandgo the AWL Kareem Abdul-Jabbar? You know, just wondering . . .
