Man, I'd happily crash the greatest wave of England's rain over our foes, but it's been sunny like you wouldn't believe (for the first time this year it feels) for the last 2 days here.

I see Adanac posted in the ROF thread that the ROF is recruting. I don't want to speak for our beloved captain woh, but I guess we'd be very glad to be joined by new players!

Hi supersamu, welcome on the team.
I am looking forward to have you play for Team Europa!

And indeed more new members are more than welcome.

I come from the dark side of the moon. It was just d**n hard to break through the enemy lines. There is some astro-fire rings, freaky mountain traps and much stormy weather coming from the seaside.
But finally I got it to enter the familar continent...

So far I need more battle experience (Probably my rating is too high at the moment). Fortunately I have some roots coming from the gods...

..happy to join the team!  ;D

I would also like to join. Lest teach those asians and americans a lesson!

I have known this awesome game since January, but haven't played it that much. It could be fun to participate in this event.

How do i show the European flag - and some style 8) - to the members in the forum in my signature? I canīt find the link to the picture.

You can add the flag to your signature as follows:

- click your profile link on one of your forum posts
- click "modify"
- add this to your signature field:
http://arimaa.com/arimaa/mwiki/images/e/e0/Europa.jpg

oops, I added the original syntax:

add this to your signature field (remove all #):
[#img#]http://arimaa.com/arimaa/mwiki/images/e/e0/Europa.jpg[#/img#]

No need to use #s or any other such symbol to explain it.

Code:

Hello team,

Iīm sorry, but for next time I canīt play any league game.

May you please find a substitute for my game on round 3. Thanks and I apologize the inconvenience.

I think I could substitute odin73 for round 3, but there are several issues to discuss first:
1. after substitution additional 2k will be deducted from the budget (as far as I understand the rules)
2. it is possible, that another 1 point will be deducted for match budget under 5180 (it's unclear in rules, maybe asking Director about that would give some info/decision).
3. I have little chances on 1st board anyway, it could be that cost mentioned in 1 and 2 is not worth it.

Hi foggy

1. Since your rating is lower than the player you would be replacing the cost remains the same, the rating of the original palyer.
2. This is only applied to the original roster. A sustitution wouldn't cause deduction of extra points.
3. As explained in 1. and 2. no extra cost is involved, so it would be great if you could substitute for odin73.

I could also substitute for odin73.

I'm sure supersamu would be much better choice for the substitution.

Sorry to but in, but I would like to avert any possible controversy... Is that a final decision woh?

I am not sure this is true, but I thought Omar coded it into the interface that if you simply leave your seat, and it is more than fifteen minutes past game time, and the game hasn't started, and your opponent isn't there, you win by forfeit.  If that is correct, then you can "claim" the forfeit win simply by leaving.

Unfortunately, given that substitute players can't sit down at an official game, this leaves no procedure for a substitute player to claim a forfeit win from an absent opponent.
