Hello, Yesterday I forfeited my game in the WC as I forgot to add it to my calendar! I wish to apologise for doing so and I would like to continue to play in the tournament if still possible.

Hi Janzert.
Today extremebob accidentally didn't show up to our game so he lost by forfeit.
I just checked the results and it says "abandoned" rather than "forfeit" for my game. Can you change the result code and credit me with the win? My game still showed up as "in progress" even after the 18-minute spectator delay was over, and after getting approval from the TC I left. I was logged in to the chat room at the same time and everything I said is part of the public record. Please PM me if there is anything I need to clarify.

Sorry for the confusion. Until now I needed Omar to correct these abandoned results and I sent him an email to change it yesterday evening. He corrected it this morning. The extra part is, he also set it up so I can fix it directly should it happen again in the future.

When I notified Brass2010 via email that he had to post his desire to continue explicitly in this thread, he responded to me instead at 1/26 4:30 EST
"Hi I am still interested to play in this tournament."
I am going to try to get him to post here, but I suspect there might be language issues. If this fails, might it be possible to accept this as a post on his behalf?
Edit: Perhaps it makes a difference to note that he is now in the consolation section.

Given the specifics of this situation, most importantly the probable language barrier and that they will be coming back in as part of the swiss section, I'm going to keep Brass2010 in the tournament.

Given that this concerns the Swiss section, it should not be a big deal to treat fritzlforpresident's absence in round 4 as a bye and reinstate him in round 5.

Given that the current rules really don't make any allowance for a player rejoining after missing one or more rounds and that I'm not completely confident that the site infrastructure would handle it well, I'm not going to add anyone back in if they aren't paired for a round.
I'm sorry I didn't hear that fritzlforpresident wanted to continue in the tournament, but it's now too late to get him back in.
