Title: Wolfram Alpha
Post by The_Jeh on Dec 16th, 2011, 7:17pm
I thought some people on here might get a kick out of this:

Wolfram calls it a "computational knowledge engine." Basically, you can tell it to calculate or plot anything. It can also be used to look up a wide array of knowledge. It's sort of like a primitive version of IBM's Watson specially tailored to mathematics.

Apparently, it's been around a while, so I apologize if this is old news.

I also heard that Hitler is dead, no but seriously Wolfram Alpha is very useful and sometimes surprisingly "intelligent". I use it for a wide variety of stuff, from math to the weather.

I remember seeing this when it launched. There was much talk about it in the news at the time. I have not used it much, but that might be because I don't know about all the stuff it can do.
