May 22 is now known as Bitcoin Pizza day.

There's been a lot in the news recently about Bitcoin Pizza day. The TV show 60 minutes even did an episode about it.

Here is the original thread where he offers 10,000 BTC for 2 large pizzas.
It took 4 days before someone took him up on the offer. He even started wondering if maybe he wasn't offering enough Bitcoins :-)

Around May 2011 is when I stumbled on Bitcoin and posted about it here in the Arimaa forum. It started up a very interesting discussion and some even posted they bought bitcoin:

Coincidentally, May 30, 2011 was the day that someone bought Arimaa sets with bitcoin. Today marks the 8th anniversary.
