Title: new DeepMind AI solves programming problems

This may be of interest here: link (https://deepmind.com/blog/article/Competitive-programming-with-AlphaCode)

Note that the types of problems it seems able to solve go well beyond the "read a prose description of some process, simulate it directly, and print the result" class.

Thanks for sharing. This is quite amazing that AlphaCode can just read an English problem statement and generate code that is on par with the average human competitive coder. At one time I used to think that asking a computer to write code based on an English description would be the ultimate Turing test. I never thought we would get to this point so quickly.
